We began this term with the excitement and exhilaration that Christmas was on its way. However, we were then informed that we would be working right up until the last day if we didn't finish our work! These were the obvious words of Mr. Hempleman.
In partnership with 6OB, we opened a very inviting WW2 cafe containing cakes, cookies and all things nice which were 100% rationed ingredients! We were lucky enough to have a shockingly large staff of 60! Including waiters/waitresses, entertainers, cleaners, tea-servers and even people at the door welcoming in our very appreciative visitors (our parents!)
As the build up to Christmas got more and more exciting, we made gifts for our friends and family, but they had to be genuine WW2 style. We made wooden blocks and sewn decorations.
Also many of the children participated in this years school concert; there was Pachelbels Canon, which was year 6 only, choir, blues band, orchestra, recorders and many more....
We are all looking forward to a brilliant end to the term: A very special person has donated money for all of year 6 to go to the panto today.
