6H so far

In year six we have been making Anderson shelters for our Bath Blitz topic. We brought in cardboard and materials to make our shelters in the blue room. After they were complete Mr Hancock and Mrs Kennaugh threw bean bags at the shelters to see if they were sturdy, some survived but others were destroyed .

We went on a walk around Bath with Mr Cumpson and Mr Hempleman to see if we could notice how the Blitz had effected the buildings and areas. We went to a dip in a park made by a bomb; we stood in the dip but the crater is not as big as it was because they filled it with soil and grass.

We are going to open a World War 2 cafe this week. We will be the chefs and waiters and our customers will be our parents. We will also be making our own Christmas decorations; they will be stockings or blocks of wood decorated.
